About us

Once IPSO has identified the demand for a new technology we work with our research partners to source IP that has the potential to be developed into a valuable commercial opportunity.

Whether the appropriate commercialisation route is licencing or creating a spin out company much of our early development process is the same. Indeed licencing and spin out creation are two ends of the commercialisation continuum and the appropriate route for a particular piece of technology may involve a blend of both.

We transform these technologies into commercial opportunities by providing capital, management expertise, business development support and corporate finance advice depending on the route chosen.

We believe our approach addresses a crucial weakness in the market, which is the lack of communication and collaboration between industry and academia.

Our process consists of a number of phases:

Stage 1 - Evaluation

  • Technology assessment
  • Management review
  • Market assessment
Decision to proceed

  • IP Verification
